Founder of the electronic music juggernaut, Tangerine Dream. He was inspired by time he had spent with Surrealist artist Salvador Dali after which he chose to push the boundries of the emerging early 1970s krautrock movement. He first showcased the sequencer and created environments that echoed early Pink Floyd and Walter Carlos soundscapes. The 1974 release, Phaedra, is one of electronica's most gloriest moments.
