MARGUERITE ZORACH (1887–1968)

Grew up in California among the Napa Valley vineyards in a family where music and art were encouraged. She left Stanford for Paris. There she attended the post-impressionist school La Palette, where she met William Zorach, and associated with Pablo Picasso and ex-patriate Gertrude Stein.
She spent the winter of 1915-16 Greenwich Village and arrived in Provincetown for the summer of 1916.
