Actress and singer born in Humacao, Puerto Rico. She is best known as Anita, Maria's BFF, in West Side Story. Rita becomes one of the few performers to have won all four major annual American entertainment awards, which include an Oscar (West Side Story), an Emmy (The Electric Company), a Grammy (The Muppets) and a Tony (The Ritz).
