Otcasek left the rolling hills of Ohio to seek fortune and fame in Boston, Mass along with his partner in crime, Ben Orzechowski. They tried and tried before transmuting and holing up in the studio with Queen producer, Roy Thomas Baker. They delivered the album of the year for 1978 under their new moniker, The Cars. Ric would go on to produce the Bad Brains, Suicide and Weezer.
