ANTONIO LUCIO VIVALDI (1678 - 1741)
MUSIC ::: CLASSICAL :::
The great Italian baroque composer is best known for his masterpiece concertos, The Four Seasons. He rocked Prague and Vienna at his peak and though his compositions were commissioned by royalty and the wealthy, he died in abject poverty. He would spend the next two hundred years wallowing in obscurity until his exuburant works were rediscovered in the early 20th century.
