Grit, Melody and Crazed Intensity

Binge emerged from Boston with a lineup built around singer and bassist KT Gelwick, guitarists Jimmy Muise and Paul Marrochello, and drummer Bill Morrissey.

The original One Way description called Binge “funk-punk,” but the group was never easily contained by one compound genre. Gelwick’s raw vocals and unsettled lyrics sat inside a dense guitar engine. Muise added vocal support and occasional leads; Marrochello and Muise supplied the riffs; Morrissey brought a melodic, heavy-footed approach that gave the songs muscle without flattening their hooks.

Binge’s documented contribution to the One Way catalog is “One More Cup,” preserved as the closing track on Dig the Boston Underground. Coming after fifteen recordings drawn from across the city’s independent-music community, the song gives Binge the compilation’s final word.

Original One Way Introduction

Preserved from Dig the Boston Underground.

What do you get when you mix high-voltage rock ’n’ roll with edgy riffs and crazed intensity? You get Binge—a thrashing, energetic band from Boston. Fronted by KT Gelwick, Binge combines a gritty, guitar-driven sound with raw vocals and dark, sometimes unsettling lyrics.

Original Personnel Note

Jimmy Muise provides vocal support, including a few leads, and with Paul Marrochello fuels the band’s potent guitar engine. Bill Morrissey gives the band its melodic muscle with his John Bonham-like drumming.

Catalog Note

No separate legacy Binge One Way album page has been recovered. This biography connects directly to the band’s documented compilation appearance without duplicating the Big Dig player or implying that One Way controls the wider Binge catalog.
