The Second One Way Edition

Wait—There’s More

Left Nut logo

Everything It Takes to Be an Asshole extends the surviving Left Nut catalog with nine songs. The original One Way page announced it simply and accurately: “Wait! There’s More!” The record carries the same collision heard throughout the band’s history - dual guitars, punk abrasion, hard-rock muscle and titles that refuse polite company.

The album appeared in WMBR’s rock reports in late 1999 alongside the renewed circulation of Bad Attitude, No Apologies. Earlier One Way pages sold both records on CD and offered 30-second clips, first through RealMedia and later through an embedded Able Player. Those systems are now obsolete; this restoration preserves the sequences and points each track toward native HTML5 audio.

The two albums belong together. They document Left Nut’s club years and preserve Mikey Welsh at the start of a career that later ran through Heretix, Jocobono, Juliana Hatfield, Weezer and The Kickovers. What once looked like a stray local catalog now supplies the opening chapter of a much larger Boston story.
