Sexy Singers gathers seven songs from Natalie Flanagan’s evolving One Way catalog. “Grace Under Pressure” returns from Let; “Right Reasons” returns from 5 Star Day. The repetition is revealing: these are songs she continued to inhabit, not recordings abandoned after one release.
The album’s circle connected Flanagan to musicians already moving through Motherlode’s larger Boston ecosystem, including Charlie Leger, Emily Grogan, Chuck White, Larry Dersch and David Minehan. Its 2008 digital release ensured that the work survived beyond the original CD storefront.
