The One Way Edition
The Record Was Proof
Recorded at Normandy Sound with producer Phil Greene, Shake the Faith captured a new band moving before the industry could define it. Casey Lindstrom brought songs and guitar from New Models; Jesse Mayer brought the force of Fingerpaint; Todd Erikson completed the trio on bass. The result crossed power pop, punk and metal without treating any of them as a costume.
The record won the 1987 Boston Music Award for Independent Rock. Its original formats included vinyl, later CD circulation and digital audio. An early One Way sales page listed the seven-song CD for $8.98 and credited mastering to Marisa T. Dery at the Tape Complex in Boston. This restoration retains the sequence, original MP3 filenames and Carter Alan’s liner notes while reconnecting the album to the band’s 2021 Norwood reunion.
