The One Way Edition

Five Unreleased Sides

The Devotions brought John Felice together with Dana Stewart, Mark McCormick and Paul McCormick. Longtime sound engineer and Rat fixture Mark Davis produced the recordings with engineer Ducky Carlisle at Room 9 From Outer Space. Marisa T. Dery digitally mastered them at Tape Complex in 1999.

Kelly Knapp—of the Bristols and later the Darlings—shares vocals with Felice on “Looks Like Goodbye.” One Way also placed “I’m Not There” and “Looks Like Goodbye” on Boston Retroactive, while “Make It Go Away” appears on Dig the Boston Underground.

This five-song One Way edition is distinct from the fifteen-song Devotions album recorded with Steve Wynn at Fort Apache in January 1996.
