If Billie Holiday wielded a banjo, the results would be eerily similar to Karen Dalton. An original staple on the Greenwich Village folk scene, she rubbed elbows and shared microphones with Dylan, Tim Hardin and Fred Neil. Much of her career flew under the radar but she has begun to garner posthumous praise from a new generation of admirers.
